This page describes what our own code does, in plain language — it is not legal advice, and nothing here should be read as a legal opinion about your rights or our obligations in any specific jurisdiction. If you need a legal assessment, consult a qualified professional.

PoolRobotMatch ("we", "us") publishes this policy to explain what happens to data when you visit this site. We don't require an account to browse the catalog, comparator, Finder, or any guide here.

Cookies and similar identifiers we use

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense, both of which can set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser. We disclose both here plainly, and give you a way to opt out below.

• Google Analytics — measures which pages are visited and how, so we can see what's useful. This sets analytics cookies (e.g. a `_ga`-prefixed cookie) and reports aggregated usage data to Google. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google Analytics uses data.
• Google AdSense — shows ads on this site and may use cookies or advertising identifiers to select and measure them, including personalized ads where you've consented to that. • Our own click tracking — when you click a "View on Amazon" button, we send one Google Analytics event recording which product, page, and link location you clicked — not any personal information about you. See our affiliate disclosure for how Amazon links work on this site.
• Standard server logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) may also be generated by our hosting provider as a normal part of serving web pages, independent of the above.

Your consent choices

On your first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or choose per category. Where technically supported, we also configure Google Consent Mode so Google's own tags respect that choice. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer.

Rejecting analytics/advertising cookies does not block you from using the catalog, Finder, or comparator — those work the same either way.

This site contains affiliate links to Amazon.com — see our affiliate disclosure for details. Clicking through to Amazon is subject to Amazon's own privacy policy, which we don't control.

What we don't do

We don't require an account, don't run our own advertising network beyond AdSense, don't sell data to third parties ourselves, and don't combine analytics data with any personal profile — we only see the aggregated reporting Google Analytics provides.

Changes to this policy

If we add another analytics, advertising, or cookie-setting integration to this site in the future, we'll update this page to describe it before it goes live — not after.
